Today was a day to introduce some classroom rules and expectations for the course. You received a course outline today, which outlined the major topics that will be studied in Social 10, as well as a mark breakdown, and the school's academic dishonesty policy. I have sent you an e-mail, so please check your e-mail tonight. If you haven't received the e-mail, please send me an e-mail directly so that I can make changes to the e-mail list. Also, here's the test to see if you read the blog tonight: please bring pencil crayons to class tomorrow. You have a simple homework assignment, please have ready to hand in a letter of introduction tomorrow at the beginning of class. This letter must be in "published format", either typed or written in blue or black ink. Please remember: you do NOT need to bring your textbook, Canada: A Nation Unfolding to class tomorrow.

I saw this cartoon today and it made me giggle. What did you think of the election? Do you think the Conservatives will be able to keep all of their campaign promises? Have we truly made a shift to the right?

Today was our last class period together. I hope that you all do well on the Final Exam. You do need to study though! Don't take the weekend off! This final is worth 25% of your final mark in Social 10. I'll be sending you a practice final tomorrow afternoon, and the "blueprint" for the Social 10 Final plus some additional study materials. The answer key to that final will be posted here on the blog on Monday.

You're not quite finished with Social 23. You still have to study for Wednesday's final exam. Study hard over the weekend. If you're missing anything, please send me an e-mail and I will send you any missing PowerPoints that you may not have. Good luck! Your final exam is worth 25% of your final grade in Social 23.

Today I gave you a very large study guide for your Final Exam. If you missed today's class you need to get the notes from a classmate. Here's your homework assignment for today: you need to come to class with at least 5 questions about the Social Studies 23 course that you would like me to answer for you. This is your last chance to get some help on topics that maybe you didn't understand when we took it up in class the first time.

Today you wrote a practice final exam. It consisted of 65 multiple choice questions. This weekend I will be sending you another practice exam, with about 60 questions. The answer key for this practice test will be posted on the blog on Monday. Additionally, I will be sending you a "blueprint" of the Social 10 Final Exam on Saturday as well as additional study materials. For tomorrow I would like you to be ready to participate in a Q & A on various topics from the course. This is your last chance to have me explain a concept to you that maybe you didn't understand in class the first time through.

You wrote your Topic B Final today in class. If you missed today's class you will have to write this exam before the end of the week!
