You wrote your Final Exam Part A today, and you received your final marks in 10-2. I hope that you returned your textbooks today in the Main Foyer.

I did a homework check on your Chapter 21 Key Terms and Questions today. I tried to finalize everyone's homework check marks today as well. Homework checks represent 5% of your final grade in the course, so it is important. I wrote out a writing guide for tomorrow's Final Exam Part A on the blackboard. It specifically covered how to write a WRA I type assignment and a WRA III type assignment. You have written a WRA I before during Unit 1, but you haven't written a WRA III before. You are allowed to have this writing guide out tomorrow when you write Part A. It might be a good idea to review the "Preparing for Social 10-2 Writing Assignments" PowerPoint presentation that I went over earlier in the Summer semester. The title slide looks like this:
You had the remainder of class time to work on your Final Exam Part B Study Guides. You will be allowed to have these guides out on Friday when you write the 75 multiple choice question Part B. At the end of class, you handed back in the study guides. You will probably get some time to work on them again tomorrow.
I did a homework check on your Chapter 18 Question Sheet at the beginning of class, along with a homework check of the "Blood Diamond" Film Study. You wrote your Chapter 16-18 Quiz today. After writing this quiz, your "Tests and Quizzes" are finished for the course (it amounts to 25% of your course mark). As of Wednesday, your "Homework Checks" will be finished as well.
Wednesday is your last chance to change your homework check mark. I will not be accepting homework after Wednesday's class. Homework amounts for 5% of your final course mark, and some of you have a 100% homework check record, which helps your mark. Keep doing your homework! I collected your Chapter 14 Booklets at the beginning of class for homework check marks. I wrote some notes on the board about the expansion of economic globalization, so if you missed class today, you'll have to get these notes from a classmate. I showed you a short excerpt video from an episode of the CBC show called "The Hour" (hosted by George Stroumboulopoulos, actually I just wanted to type that name out once). The excerpt that I showed you was an interview of Jeff Rubin, former chief economist for CIBC, where he was talking about the end of cheap oil and the end of globalization as we know it. After the break, I went through a PowerPoint presentation called "Quality of Life, Human Rights, Democratization" which I have sent to your e-mail accounts. I gave you time to work on your Chapter 15 Booklets, which are due tomorrow.

There is a short matching section, and you must also complete a chart (point form answers) on what supporters or critics might say about certain international agreements or organizations (please see the Chapter 11 Quiz Study Guide for an idea of what this might look like). There will also be a multiple choice section to this test (25 multiple choice questions), and a written component as well. The written component will require you to analyze two sources, and identify key concepts reflected in the sources. Please review the following key concepts from Unit 3:
