Social 10
I gave you another reading today in class, which covered bilateral action (specifically, the acid rain issue) and the Earth summit. I will be sending out a short reading on the Kyoto Accord in the next day or so.

We played Jeopardy in class today to help you review for your WWI test (which is next Thursday). If you have some time please check out these fun games:
- Penalty Shoot Out (World War I)
- Penalty Shoot Out (Causes of WWI)
- Historical Hangman (WWI in the Trenches)
- Fling the Teacher (Peace Treaties)

is the kyoto accord important to study for the test?
Don't worry about the Kyoto Accord, it's not in the study guide.
i posted a comment but it disapeared i guess, so ill say things again.
Some key concepts and key terms we may not have a clear understanding of, so i was wondering if you can sent us like a definition sheet on things like nation hood and such. Thank you again
And wat happened to the daily dancers comment??
ah the dailydancer link is gone? i wanted to see it
no, the daily dancer actually posted a comment, but mr gilchrist deleted it lol it was kinda funny
haha what did he say?
Wow! Lots of comments in the past couple of days. Yes the rumors are true the Daily Dancer did post a comment on the blog.He wasn't too happy with me, especially the "lonely man" comment. It's one of those you had to be there things. Even students who are in Social 10-3 probably didn't really get the comment either. I just had some extra time left at the end of class (with Social 10-1) and had made a comment about maybe dancing for the class to kill the last few minutes of class time. Then I had mentioned the Daily Dancer, and no one had heard of him, so I put a link on the blog. I kind of felt bad that he took offense to what I had written. If he knew me and my tendency to use self-effacing humor, maybe he wouldn't have been so annoyed with me (I've referred to myself as a nerd in class for example). When you write something the tone of your voice is completely lost. I apologize to the Daily Dancer, if he ever comes back for a visit, I meant no offense. He also wondered when his website was added to the curriculum (good question).
Now to deal with some of your comments: I won't be sending out a definition sheet. If you're not sure of some of the key concepts, please check the PowerPoint presentations or the readings that I have sent to you. I think that they all appear in there, or alternatively look it up in a dictionary.
No worries. I wasn't really offended and kinda found it funny. Sorry if I was a little harsh.

in which power point can i find the imperial war cabinet's resolution??
thx
You can find that in the second PowerPoint on WWI. It's called "Canada's Role in WWI (Part 2)", it's on slide #10.
For the project that's due in at the end of the mont (Social 10-1), how far do you want our research to go?
Thxu.
erm... have you sent the kyoto Accord thing yet? I don't seem to have it... thank you
I haven't sent the Kyoto Accord reading yet. I'm actually questioning whether I will or not. You are all probably studying very hard and I don't want to bog you down with something that definitely WON'T be on the unit final. I've just decided that I won't send it out.
o r we allowed to change our topics for our projects if we wanted now? thx
You are allowed to change your topic, just let me know what you're doing your project on now.
did u send today (nov 21st)'s powerpoint out yet?
thx
Patience grasshopper. I have to put my son to bed.
Oh Gilchrist.. how are we susposed to study when we caould be watching the daily dancer instead :)
I know it's very distracting. Lots of cool things out there on the Internet. The Daily Dancer does have kind of a "Napoleon Dynamite" thing going on, but you'll just have to buckle down and get to studying.
