I did a homework check on the Chapter 9 Key Terms and Questions today. Your Chapter 11 Key Terms and Questions will be due next Wednesday (December 19th). We watched a documentary today called "Unconstitutional", which covered the results of the USA PATRIOT Act.
You're writing the Chapter 10 Test on Friday, December 14th. You only have to do questions 1-50 on this test. Please see the study guide below.

We finished the activity on the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, which we will started yesterday. We'll talk more about the Charter and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights next week. You're writing your Unit 3 WRA II Essay tomorrow. Please go to Room 104 tomorrow, and you can start your essay during tutorial. I'm going to post the essay question sheet on the wiki this afternoon. On Tuesday, December 18th you'll be writing the Unit 3 Final Exam, please see the study guide below.

- "Foundations of Economic Globalization"
- "The Expansion of Economic Globalization"
- "Challenges and Opportunities of Economic Globalization"
- "The Impact of Economic Globalization on Environments"
- "Globalization and Sustainability"
Make sure that you have reviewed the Key Terms from Unit 3 (all the terms listed on the Unit 3 Worksheet, plus the extra key terms that appeared in the PowerPoint presentations). The Unit 3 Final Exam will consist of 50-60 multiple choice questions.

IB 20 HOTA
Today was the first day of presentations in your "dictator conference groups". Tomorrow, you will move into these same groups again, and we'll hear from the Peron group first, and then the Nasser group. Please make sure that you share your Google Docs/Slides with me as well (please give me editing powers so I can post on them on the wiki). Please share with my GMail account. Don't forget to make a copy of your finished product tomorrow (brochure, mini-booklet, etc.). All groups should be ready to hand this final product in to me tomorrow. Next Monday (December 17th) you will be writing a multiple choice test on the Authoritarian States unit. Please check out the study guide below to prepare for this test.
AUTHORITARIAN STATES UNIT EXAM
This test has 65 multiple choice questions on it. The emphasis of the test is on Nazi Germany and Stalin's USSR. You should review the following materials and concepts:
- Non-Democratic Systems (handout notes)
- Totalitarianism (handout notes)
- Types of Political Systems (Google Slides presentation, it's on the wiki in the Democracies section)
- techniques of DICTatorship (direction of popular discontent, indoctrination and propaganda, controlled participation, terror and force)
- characteristics of authoritarian systems
- review the political spectrum, the economic spectrum, and the economic-political grid
- Stalin's Five Year Plans and collectivization
- review Beer Hall Putsch, Nuremberg rallies, Night of the Long Knives, Night of Broken Glass (Kristallnacht)
