IB 20 HOTA
I went through the Google Slides lecture "An Introduction to IB History". You'll be able to find this Google Slide presentation on the IB 20 wiki. Please make sure that you check your email for the invitation to join the wiki. We also split into four groups today to classify a variety of sources as either primary sources or secondary sources. I'll be giving you the IB academic integrity booklet tomorrow (read it over the weekend, sign it and return on Monday) and we'll be doing another activity looking at OPCVL (origin, purpose, content, value and limitations) of sources.
I want you to read over the rest of the syllabus (particularly topics that we will cover in Grade 12) and come up a Top 5 list of topics that you would want to investigate in greater detail. We'll then use that list to generate a research question for your IA. You also have a friendly letter assignment due on Friday. Try to cover the topics that I talked about in class, but also make sure that you incorporate 2-3 characteristics from the IB Learner Profile.
