We covered the issue of national self-determination today by looking at the issue of Kosovo independence. We talked about what it takes to be classified as an independent nation-state (recognition by other nation-states, internationally recognized and respected territory/borders, a sovereign government). You had the remainder of class time to work on your "Shake Hands with the Devil" post-viewing questions (due Monday) or your Chapter 8 Key Terms and Questions (due Tuesday). Please remember that you have your USA-Canada Comparative Government Assignment due on Monday. You're also writing your Political Systems Test on Monday, November 28th (please see the study guide below).
POLITICAL SYSTEMS TEST STUDY GUIDE:
