Social 20-1

You got some practice answering some Unit 4 multiple choice questions today. Please note the following important date: Part "B" of the Final Exam (80 multiple choice questions) is on Tuesday, January 14th in the Main Gym at 1-3 pm. 

Social 30-1

We played a review game of Jeopardy today. Please note the following key dates:

• Trial Final Exam is on Friday, January 10th (this test wipes out your lowest test result; the study guide is the Diploma Exam Study Guide that is in the back of your Social 30-1 course booklets)
• Social 30-1 Diploma Exam Part "A" (written component) is on Tuesday, January 14th in the various computer labs (you will be assigned a lab and computer station) from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, unless you need to take extra time, then you can write until 3 pm if necessary. 
• Social 30-1 Diploma Exam Part "B" (60 multiple choice questions) is on Friday, January 24th from 9:00 am to 11:30 am in the Main Gym.

We watched a documentary on the Spanish Civil War and started a documentary on the Chinese Civil War too. Please come to Room 111 tomorrow.

We continued working on the Chinese Civil War Google Doc today. Please make sure that it is completely filled in 100% before you make a copy of it. Tomorrow, we'll move on to the Spanish Civil War Google Doc.

We went through our last topic for Unit 4 today, that being regional disparity and regionalism. If you missed class today, please get the notes from a classmate. Tomorrow, you are writing Part A of the Final Exam in the Blenheim Room, you will have Period 4 and tutorial to write it. Part "B" of the Final Exam (80 multiple choice questions) is on Tuesday, January 14th in the Main Gym at 1-3 pm.

We were back in the Red Lab today to work on the WRA II Google Doc. We've moved the Trial Final to Friday, January 10th.

Last day of class. Please remember the important dates for your Social 30-1 Diploma Exam:

• Social Studies 30-1 Part A is on Wednesday, June 13th from 9am to 12 pm
• Social Studies 30-1 Part B is on Tuesday, June 19th from 9 am to 11 am in the Main Gym

I am supervising sequestered students tomorrow in the Main Theatre for the English Diploma Exam but after that if you want to come and see me and ask me questions by all means you can find me in Room 111. I would still really love to have you all sign my black yearbook (some of you didn't get a chance to sign it today). You can also drop in after you write your Part A to test yourself against past Diploma exam multiple choice questions (old Social 30 questions).

IB 20

Lots of "housekeeping items" to take care of on the last day of class. I gave back some marked assignments, and homework assignments as well. I will have your Paper 2 essays marked before June 19th. You will be writing the Final Exam on Tuesday, June 19th from 1-3 pm in the Auxiliary Gym. The final exam is 100 multiple choice questions, with questions from all 8 units this year. If you missed class today, you might want to get the exam "blueprint" from a classmate. This exam will account for 20% of your final mark in IB 20. STUDY!!
