I started talking about Canada's Role in WWI today in class. I've already sent you today's presentation on this topic. You have your Identity Unit Final tomorrow in class. Please don't forget that your Position Paper Outline is due tomorrow as well, this should not take you very long to complete, especially since you got it on Friday.

You wrote your Nationalism Test today in class. You will be having your Nationalism Unit Final during our first week back from Spring Break. Don't forget that your Chapter 8 questions (Q2-17) are due tomorrow. I'll be giving back pop quizzes and DBA #2 tomorrow. I sent you an e-mail earlier today with two charts: one on German unification and the other on Italian unification, which should give you a nice review of Chapter 8. Please start reading Chapter 9 in your textbook, we'll be finishing up "The Age of Bismarck" this week.

do we need three different arguments for each side of the question of which is better, to rent a movie or go to the theatre, in the position paper outline?
is tomorrows test going to be harder than the regionalism final?
For the position paper outline you do need to be able to outline some arguments that the other side would have on the issue and include those ideas in the Introduction. For the rest of the outline you need to defend your position, so you need three arguments (don't forget that introductory sentence) and three supporting examples (don't forget the details) for each of the arguments. Please make sure that your arguments support your position and your examples support your arguments!
I think that the Identity Unit Final is easier. Class averages last semester jumped a bit from the Regionalism Unit Final to the Identity Unit Final. People were better prepared for the test, so they did better.
do we need to know canadian-american defense policies and stuff??
