March 3

I will be sending you today's presentation later tonight. I assigned specific questions from Chapter 4 of Canada: A Nation Unfolding, namely Q2-3, Q6, Q8 on page 98, and "Applying Your Knowledge" Q6 on page 99. To answer these questions, you will have to read the following pages: p.78-84, 86-89, 91-92, 94-97. These questions are due on Tuesday. Your French-English Timeline is due on Monday.

You wrote your French Revolution Quiz today in class. This took most of the period. Please remember that you have a homework assignment that is due on Monday, and that is the Chapter 4 questions (Q1-9, Q11-12, Q14, Q16) and the "Napoleon's Domestic Policy" chart.

what were the commponents for our timeline again?

For the timeline, does the actual line need to have every part attached? This could be rather long... or could we make a booklet where you flip each page to find the next part with a drawn timeline in front?

The format of your timeline is up to you. I have had students do it as a poster, a PowerPoint presentation, and even in a booklet format. It's up to you.Just make sure that you have covered the topics that were required, and that you include the date and a illustration to go with it. If you don't know the topics, you'll have to get a friend to e-mail them to you. I'm at the university today working on a project, so I won't be able to send it to you.

can my timeline be vertical?

Kevin Gilchrist said...

It can be vertical or horizontal, although it would look better if it were horizontal (left to right).

for references on the timeline, how would we reference your powerpoint presentation?

Kevin Gilchrist said...

Don't worry about referencing my PowerPoint presentation, most of the information in that presentation came from Canada: A Nation Unfolding and Canada Today.

do you want us to reference canada today and canada: a nation unfolding?

Kevin Gilchrist said...

No, that's okay. You wouldn't have the information to reference Canada Today anyway.

I cant remember, but do we have to do conscription in ww2 for the timeline project?

Kevin Gilchrist said...

Yes, you do. Look up Louis St. Laurent in the index of your book Canada: A Nation Unfolding for some help on this topic. I think it's on page 262, but don't quote me on that.
