After waiting for as many late students to arrive as possible, we went ahead with the Unit 1 Written Response Assignment I (called a Part A last year). I also gave you the Unit 2 Organizational Web and the Unit 2 Worksheet. I did not assign anything from the Unit 2 Worksheet. Here is the study guide for the Chapter 3-4 Test (scroll down to find it), which is on Thursday, March 5th.

We did a quick review of the political spectrum today, and looked again at the similarities of the extremes of the political spectrum.

I then gave you some handout related to dictatorship and the individual, and a GCSE booklet on the rise to power of Hitler in Germany. The Focus Task from page 101 of the booklet is due tomorrow.

We continued our look at capitalism, by looking at how the market economy works. I had you take down some notes from the board (diagrams mostly) that illustrated how the capitalist system operates. I collected your answers to the advantages/disadvantages of democracy questions at the beginning of class today. Please remember that you have your Democracy Unit Exam tomorrow. It's 66 multiple choice questions, all past Diploma Exam questions, it's VERY difficult!! You need to study and review the Democracy Unit tonight!
