March 1


You watched a video from the CNN Cold War series today, this time it was Episode 11: Vietnam (1954-1968). While you watched this video you should have been taking notes. You also got the Vietnam War Assignment today, this is due on March 9th.


You watched a couple of videos from the BBC 20th Century History series: "Boom and Bust" (film study questions on page 55 in the workbook), "FDR and the New Deal" (you should have taken notes on the backside on page 55). You also went through the Analyzing Political Cartoons section in your workbook in preparation of your in-class writing assignment on Friday.


You were given the Unit 2 Worksheet today. You had a work period to read Chapter 6 and answer the key terms and questions (these are due on Monday, March 14th). You have your Chapter 3-4 Test tomorrow, please see the study guide below.


  • Know the key terms from Chapter 3-4
  • Be able to answer the Questions for Inquiry in Chapters 3-4 (they appear on p.49, p.53, p.58, p.73, p.80)
  • Know relevant case studies from Chapters 3-4: the Francophones, the Aborigines and the Lubicon, as well as other relevant examples related to assimilation, marginalization, accommodation and integration
