I continued my lecture on Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany. We started off Part 2 of the A & E Biography "Fatal Attraction of Adolf Hitler" today. Please remember that you're going to be writing a Paper 2 Essay on Wednesday, December 5th. All of the essay questions will be about either Stalin or Hitler. I handed back your IA Phase II today.
It is strongly recommended that you not only go through the rest of the Google Slides in the "Joseph Stalin and the USSR" lecture, but also read Chapter 2 in your Authoritarian States textbook. There is a great of information and detail in this textbook, and it has some great summary charts on Stalin's rise to power (p. 30), Stalin's establishment of an authoritarian state (p.45), and Stalin's domestic policies and their impact (p.56), and Stalin's foreign policy (p. 62).
It is also strongly recommended that you not just rely on the Hitler Paper 2 Review Google Slides lecture. You should also read and take notes from Chapter 3 (p.67-120)in your Authoritarian States textbook. There is a lot of detail and IB examiner's tips in this book, so you use it!

I gave you some time to read, highlight and annotate notes on the "Modern History of China" in your 30-1 coursebooks. I then showed you a couple of videos from the BBC 20th Century History series one called "One Man's Revolution" and the other "China Since Mao". I gave the 30-1 students a three source interpretation chart assignment which will be due on Thursday, you'll get some time tomorrow to work on this assignment.Your Canada-USA Comparative Government Assignment is due on Monday, December 10th.
