You wrote your Unit 3 WRA II Essay yesterday in class. A few of you missed class yesterday, so you made up this position paper in today's class. If you were in class today, you would know that we continued talking about the key concept of illiberalism, specifically post-9/11 anti-terrorism legislation. We focused on the USA PATRIOT Act today by watching a CBC News in Review on 9/11 and the passage of the Patriot Act. I tried to emphasize today that 9/11 had domestic impacts on the United States, with the passage of the Patriot Act (illiberalism), and international impacts with the imposition of liberalism in Afghanistan and Iraq as part of a larger "war on terror".
