January 6

After I returned all of the marked work, we went down to the Red Lab in the Library to work on the Chinese Civil War Notebook Google Doc. We will be working on this again tomorrow, so you don't have to work on it tonight.

After I returned your Comparative Government Assignment, we went down to the Red Lab to work on a Google Doc. I split you into five different groups, and each group was assigned two different Diploma Exam WRA I assignments. Tomorrow, we'll be reviewing how to write a position paper. Please check out the upcoming important dates listed below:

  • Trial Final Exam is on Thursday, January 9th (this test wipes out your lowest test result; the study guide is the Diploma Exam Study Guide that is in the back of your Social 30-1 course booklets)
  • Social 30-1 Diploma Exam Part "A" (written component) is on Tuesday, January 14th in the various computer labs (you will be assigned a lab and computer station) from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, unless you need to take extra time, then you can write until 3 pm if necessary.
  • Social 30-1 Diploma Exam Part "B" (60 multiple choice questions) is on Friday, January 24th from 9:00 am to 11:30 am in the Main Gym

I gave back your Unit 3 position papers today. I reminded you to review the PowerPoint lectures in your Social 20-1 coursebooks on French and English relations in Canada. You had class time to work on your Chapter 13 and 14 Key Terms and Questions today. Please remember that you have your Social 20-1 Final Exam Part "A" (position paper) on Wednesday, January 8th in the Blenheim Room. Part "B" of the Final Exam (80 multiple choice questions) is on Tuesday, January 14th in the Main Gym at 1-3 pm.
