October 17


We polished off the last of the "Evolution of Modern Liberalism" PowerPoint lecture and then we covered how supply-side and demand-side economics deals with a recession, and then we moved on to Russian history. I started showing a video from the BBC 20th Century History series called "Stalin and the Modernization of Russia". The video was interrupted by the fire drill, so we'll have to finish it off on Friday.

I started a lecture today on "Historical Globalization and Imperialism". We're really getting into Unit 2 material now. Make sure that you have your Chapter 7 Key Terms and Questions ready for Friday's class.



We discussed the causes of the French Revolution and Napoleon's domestic policies. I did a homework check on your Napoleon's Domestic Policy Assignment. On Friday, I'm going to re-teach you how to write a three source interpretation (WRA I) in advance of your WRA I on the French Revolution that you're writing next week. Please have a look at the upcoming important dates for IB 20. You also have your French Revolution DBA due on Tuesday
