It is APEC. APEC stands for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation. The 21 members of APEC are all Pacific Rim countries. Canada, the USA, Mexico are members as well as a lot of Asian countries. APEC member countries would generally be in favour of trade liberalization and increasing economic growth and prosperity in the region. I hope this helps.

What is the left and right wing opoosition?

I was reviewing and I came across a question stating:
How would much of the left-wing opposition to the World Trade Organization cease?

Thanks

Is that from the study guide? What are your initials and class/period?

Is APEC more like an international trading bloc (such as MERCOSUR) or is it more like a free trade agreement (such as NAFTA)?

It's more of a partnership between participating countries. The goal is to increase trade liberalization and there is a free trade element to the arrangement. I wouldn't stress out too much about this organization. It's barely mentioned in your textbook, just make sure you know that Canada is a member of this international organization.

A.N. 10-3

I set it up as follows:
There's one column is the course work mark (75% of the final grade, this is the TSUM, or Term Summary), then there's a column that is labelled Part A (5% of final grade in 10-1) and then finally another column which is the mark that you have going into Part B of your final exam (this is the column that is highlighted, it's your most current mark, and it's labelled Avg). I hope this clears things up.

remember how you told us to ensure not to mix up a few different concepts?

could you please remind us of what those were? there were a couple of different sets and I can't remember them.

I have them listed off in the study guide. Things like assimilation and integration would examples of concepts not to mix up.

Accomodation is slightly different from integration. With accomodation you find the dominant group/mainstream society make accomodations to minorities (for example, in Canada there was a case of Sikhs wanting to wear their traditional turbans in the RCMP, there was a court case, and ultimately there was a change made to the RCMP uniform to accomodate Sikhs). Integration means that minority groups might try to integrate into mainstream society, they decide how much they will become part of mainstream society.
