I showed you a video from the U.S. History series called "Reconstruction and Segregation". You should have been able to take extensive notes on this subject. I then went through a little bit more of the "Reconstruction Era" PowerPoint presentation. I think the video did a great job of explaining "the Great Compromise of 1877", and how Rutherford B. Hayes (Republican) became President of the United States. We'll talk about Reconstruction historiography tomorrow, and start talking about preparing for a Paper 3 on Civil War and Reconstruction.

You wrote your "Ideological Reaction to Industrialization Test" today. You'll get the results back tomorrow. Your Chapter 5 Key Terms are due on Tuesday, October 13th. Please make sure that you read Chapter 5.

You wrote the first draft of your first paragraph of your Unit 1 WRA II Essay today. You had some time to complete at least one peer edit as well. Tomorrow we will go directly to the computer lab to finish writing the essay. Please go directly to Room 118 tomorrow.
