WWI presentations today, focusing mainly on Canadian involvement in the war. After showing you a short video on the
Battle of Vimy Ridge, I showed a video from the U.S. History Series called "The Great War". This video gave you a preview of the
Paris Peace Conference (our Prescribed Subject 1) and some domestic issues facing the United States in the 1920s: amendments to the U.S. Constitution (women's suffrage, prohibition), nativism, and the red scare. Tomorrow we'll start looking at the
role of Canada and Latin American countries on the First World War.
