You wrote your Government In-Class Position Paper today in class in the Blenheim computer lab. Please remember to study and prepare for your Politics and Government Unit Final, which is on Tuesday. The study guide for this unit final is here.

After writing your "Interwar Years Quiz" you had the remaining class time to work on "The Causes of WWII Assignment". Please remember that we are booked into the computer lab on Monday to work on the computer-based portion of this assignment.

Mr.Gilchrist, for the elections canada assignment: there was one question where it said "How is an election conducted?" is that referring to like general election or By-election?

Please answer the question as if it were a general election.

For the elections Canada assignment, where can I find the candidates for the last election in our riding?

When it asks, how is an election conducted, what do you want us to answer? Do we need to include all of the preperation leading up to the election, and the role of the officers or like what we do as a voter?

Open up the Elections Canada hyperlink from the blog. You'll be asked for your language of preference, so you'll probably select English here. Now, you're on the main page of the Elections Canada website. In the middle of the page there's a box that you can enter your postal code into to find your electoral district. Enter your postal code into this box. When you do this, you'll be taken to a new web page. At this web page it will tell you who your member of parliament is, in all likelihood it's Diane Ablonczy, since most of you live in the Calgary-Nose Hill riding. If look just below your MP's name you should see something that says "Last election". Just below where it says "Last election" there is hyperlink to see the list of candidates for the last election. Click on the hyperlink, and you should find all the information that you need.

What we're going for there is all the preparation leading up to the election, and the role of the officials involved in conducting the election.
