I did a homework check on Chapter 18 and 19 Key Terms and Questions at the beginning of class. The focus of today's class was on the free trade vs. fair trade issue. We examined this topic by focusing on the "daily grind", in other words, coffee. We looked at the role of Starbucks, and read an article on fair trade in Canada, as well as starting a video called "Black Gold". We'll finish "Black Gold" in class tomorrow. Please make sure that you have completed the questions that go along with the article "The People vs. Starbucks" for homework tonight.
