I did a homework check on your Chapter 19 and 20 Key Terms and Questions at the beginning of class, along with a homework check of the "Blood Diamond" Film Study. You wrote your Chapter 16-18 Quiz today. After writing this quiz, your "Tests and Quizzes" are finished for the course (it amounts to 25% of your course mark). As of tomorrow, your "Homework Checks" will be finished as well. Your homework assignment for tonight is as follows:

1. Chapter 21 Key Terms and Questions are due tomorrow (July 28th)

• key terms from the worksheet
• read all of Chapter 21
• complete the following questions: p.346 "Voices" Q#3, p.347 "Voices" Q#2, p.356 "Global Connections" Q#2 (a-c, e)

2. Send me 5 (five) high quality Jeopardy! style questions and answers to my e-mail account by tomorrow (we'll play a review game of Jeopardy! on Wednesday, July 29th)

Tomorrow is your last chance to change your homework check mark. I will not be accepting homework after tomorrow's class. Homework amounts for 5% of your final course mark, and some of you have a 100% homework check record, which helps your mark. Keep doing your homework!

Here are some examples of Jeopardy! style questions and answers:

Example #1:

Q: This is the common characteristics and values used to define a group.

A: What is collective identity?

Example #2:

Q: This document was influenced by the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights; it became law in Canada in 1982.

A: What is the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms?

My preference is that your questions are more of the quality of Example #2, since it's a bit more difficult.
