May 1

I did some review today for the Paper 1 and Paper 2. I didn't finish talking about the Paper 2 exam today, so that's where I'll start tomorrow. I shared a couple of Google Slides lectures, and an OPVL grid in Google Sheets. You should look at the Google Sheets for ideas on how to approach the OPCVL question on the Paper 1. I gave you some advice on what to review for Paper 1 and Paper 2. I'll try to get to Paper 3 tomorrow.

We started talking about essay writing today. I posed two questions to you: How would you convince a friend to come to Churchill? What arguments would you use to convince them? From there, you needed to generate a point form list of ideas to "sell" Churchill to your friend. We looked at the difference between argumentation and evidence, and we'll talk more about objectivity vs. subjectivity tomorrow. On Monday, May 7th, you'll be writing the Unit 2 WRA II Essay, so we'll continue talking about position papers/argumentative essays all this week.
