March 31

I did a homework check to see if you printed off the Internment of Japanese-Canadians in WWII PowerPoint presentation. We then watched a video called "Tides of War" and completed a worksheet while watching the video. We then drew lots for your collaborative inquiry research projects. I'll try to get us lab time or time with the laptop mobile cart this week or early next week, so we can start working on the first phase of the project. You should be studying tonight for your Chapter 5-6 Test, which is on Thursday. Here is a hyperlink to the study guide (scroll down to find it).

We started looking at the command economy today. I gave you a handout with the characteristics of a command economy, and advantages and disadvantages of a command economy. I then had you do some reading in A Changing World, Chapter 11. For homework tonight, you must complete the Getting it Straight questions, Q 1-7.
Don't forget that your USA in the 1920s and 1930s booklet is due tomorrow.

Most of today's class was spent writing your Economics Unit Exam. We will be doing some review of Topic A tomorrow.
