April 13

We continued looking at the mixed economy today. I assigned the following for homework over the weekend: Chapter 13 in A Changing World, "Getting it Straight" Q1, Q3-9. I will be taking this in for homework check marks on Monday. You have some tests next week, please click here for the study guide.

After today's current events presentation, I gave you a reading on "Foreign Aid". It is your responsibility to read and highlight this booklet on your own time. I also started a presentation on "Politics and Government in Canada" which I will continue on Tuesday. We have officially started the second half of the course, as of today. Please remember the important upcoming dates next week:

  • Sovereignty In-Class Position Paper is Monday, April 16th
  • WWI-WWII Research Project is due Tuesday, April 17th
  • Sovereignty Unit Final is on Thursday, April 18th (please click here for the study guide)

Yes, you can. However, you're not allowed to write your thesis statement ahead of time on your essay question sheet that you're allowed to bring to class.

I'm off to Red Deer today (Sunday), so please don't expect speedy responses to your questions today.

For the WWI/WWII projects if we use a website for both images and information, do we need to site it twice? Like once in the format for Internet and then another time in the format for a picture?
