October 15

I started a presentation that I will finish a few days from now called "Legacies of Historical Globalization". We then watched a video called "Tools of Exploitation" you were supposed to watch the video and fill out a video study guide. Please remember that your Unit 1 Final Exam is on Wednesday. Please see the study guide from the October 12th post (just scroll down and you'll find it).

You wrote your Nationalism Unit Final today, we'll go over some of the problematic questions tomorrow in class. umm...why did the industrial revolution spread to other countries around the world? thanx

-----------------------
The Industrial Revolution spreads to other countries because other countries see the benefits of industrialization, and in order to stay competitive in the global marketplace they need to change the way they produce goods.

You're responsible for the key terms for Chapter 5 in the Unit 1 Worksheet. Does this help?

(social 20)Mr.Gilchrist, for the words (of the crossword) you told us to cross out, do we still have to find them eventually? For example, under "B" the founder of Utilitarianism who believed in "the greatest good for the greatest number" and was an ardent advocate of legal reform.

I can't find these answers.

The founder of utilitarianism is Bentham. Yes, you do have to find these words in the wordsearch, and if you do ther wordsearch first, you'll find a lot of answers that will help you with the crossword (both are due on Friday)
