November 2

You did a little bit of work on the Legacies of Historical Globalization and Imperialism in small groups, brainstorming the advantages and disadvantages of imperialism from the colonies' perspective. Why can't we have our test on Monday instead of Wednesday? What's the point of starting Unit 3 on Monday when we haven't even had our unit test?

And why do you show us our tests and the marks? Why can't we look over our tests for like 5 minutes in class?

You didn't have your Unit 1 Final Exam before I started Unit 2, I'm doing the same thing this time, only the overlap is closer. If you want to look over exams, it's your responsibility to come in on your own time and go over it. You're more than welcome to do that in the morning or after school. Just let me know ahead of time.

We have to move faster than teachers do in junior high. I have more content and material to cover and in half the time. Now do you understand?

That's not enough notice for students anyway, so your point is moot.
