November 29

Today you watched a video entitled "Our National Parliament", and took notes on key positions and processes of Parliament. I also gave you a crossword puzzle which related to the video. This crossword puzzle is due tomorrow. Don't forget that your WWI/WWII Research Project is due tomorrow. If you are doing an electronic/digital project please make sure that you burn it to a disc (CD-R or DVD-R for example). Don't bring it to school on a jump drive!

I did a surprise homework check of the population terms that were due today in class. I assigned a new project, which is due next Wednesday, which covers researching a country which you selected in class. If you missed today's class, don't worry, there are still many interesting countries to select. Here are some useful websites to help you in your research:

Please don't forget that your mapping assignment is due tomorrow! Assignments will no longer be accepted past 3 days late! In other words, if this assignment isn't complete by Friday, you will receive a mark of zero for it.

why is it that it seems like only gr.10s use this blog @_@

Yes, CD-RWs would be fine.

It sounds like you're talking about a special committee, like one set up to study unity issues.

If you're doing the crossword, I put standing committeeS. Special committee would be one letter short of said answer, where as legislative committee would be too long.

did anyone get 4 across??

Anonymous said...

4 across is judicial, but there is an extra box. *shrugs and goes to watch hockey*

uhh mr gilchrist, if we have a glossary of terms of some kind, can we copy and paste from the internet? Because definitions are kinda hard to repharse, especially on things like weapons of ww1 and techniques of trench warfare......

and 4 across is judiaciary, i think.

Sorry about the earlier post, I didn't realize that you were doing the crossword puzzle.

"Judiciary" is a possibility for 4 across, but since I don't have a copy of the puzzle at home, it may not match up with other letters in the puzzle.

Just out of curiosity... did you upload the website? If you did then you could just e-mail me the URL. If not, then burn it to a disc and bring it in tomorrow.

uhh will our projects be looked at diffently if we are working by our selves? Because its kinda hard to produce the same amount of work that a group of 4 can produce...so hopefully as you are marking our projects, you may take this into consideration..

thx

and have u marked our essays yet?? :P

mr gilchrist for the maps are we supposed to color water for the world maps...
i colored water for the continents but yeah are we supposed to for the food availability & stuff?

Kevin Gilchrist said...

No. That would take too much time. If you really want to indicate where water is on the map, just outline the coasts in blue.

Anonymous said...

but like hardcore outlining them?
or just one line type thing

Kevin Gilchrist said...

Just lightly outline the coasts.

Anonymous said...

but do we have to

Anonymous said...

Dang it.. i dont know what i am doing with this project. lol. i wish we could copy and paste :P ahha

mr.gilchrist can you send an email to this blogger and tell him to remove this security code thing.. caz i am sick and tired of typing that.. bull horn
