-> How does a federal election begin? Who is involved in the process?
-> How often do federal elections take place?
-> How many days do you have to vote?
Uh, yeah, Mr.Gilchrist is probably not posting cause everyone is directly giving away the answers. You were suppose to research the answers by yourself. Things are gonna get ugly.

9.Who can not vote in federal elections?
-------------------------
http://www.elections.ca/content.asp?section=faq&document=faqvoting&lang=e&textonly=false#voting1
Gives you some indication of who can vote. Remember, incarcerated individuals, and judges. If you're not a Canadian citizen or not of legal voting age, then you wouldn't be able to vote. Also, the chief electoral officer is not allowed to vote, as well as some other higher-ups in Elections Canada.

I am still so confused What is sovereignty????
:D
Social 20-1
-----------------
I don't have a Social 20-1 class, so I'm assuming that you're one of my students that just made a little mistake. Think of sovereignty as having political control and territorial control of your country's domestic and international affairs. Using Canada as an example, we must maintain our territorial sovereignty by making sure that other countries respect our borders and boundaries. We also have control of our own domestic affairs, we are recognized diplomatically by other countries in the world and these other countries should not interfer in our internal affairs. Does this help?
wow... gr10s are over taking over the blog

I'm almost positive that I included this in a presentation, I think it was the second presentation where I talked about the organization of the trenches. So please check the presentation called "Beginnings of the War to Stalemate".

Yay, good for you! now give us the answer to number 1 =D
2.How often do federal elections take place?
----------------------
Federal elections must be called at least once every five years. So in other words, you can only PM for 5 years at a time, unless you win re-election. Most governments call elections before their 5 year mandate is up though.
the link to #1 still doesn't work......

i think i have an answer for number 1. (i guessed, but i think it'll work cuz all the terms relate. =D)
note: this is pretty much in note form, but ENJOY! :)
-> An election can be called when either the PM's term is up, or a vote of non-confidence os called to the government. The Prime Minister then, must ask to governer general to call a re-elecection.
i think it'll work cuz it has ppl involved, and how it begins. Ur Welcome!!! =D^10
