April 14

We watched some excerpts today from "Schindler's List" to help illustrate life in the ghetto and the concentration camps. We also started talking about the aftermath of WWII in Europe and the trial of Nazi war criminals at Nuremberg. We watched a short video on the war crimes trials at Nuremberg and I also gave you a handout with all the defendants and the results of the trial. Tomorrow, we'll be moving on to look at the end of WWII in the Pacific.

Most of today's class was spent writing your Economic Systems Quiz, which consisted of a short answer section and a past Diploma Exam writing assignment. Please remember that you have your Economic Systems Unit Exam tomorrow. Please see the study guide here (scroll down to find it).

I gave you back the results of Position Paper #2 at the beginning of class. The rest of the class period was spent working in one of the the library computer labs on the Interwar Years Timeline Assignment. This group project assignment is due on Wednesday, April 22nd. Please make sure that you are up-to-date with your reading in Global Forces of the 20th Century by checking the reading schedule.
