Even with word verification, you still get spam sometimes. Also who's doing the "spider-man" comments?

Please have a list of names ready for Monday, you don't have to have your cabinet picked yet. We'll be discussing it in small groups on Monday.

As for the liberation of the Netherlands, please give us some background information on the liberation. What did the Nazis do in the Netherlands? Why was the libertion important? What battles took place? What role did Canadians play in the liberation of the country? You could also have a little trivia, there's lots of great stories of individual heroism among Canadian soldiers. You may also want to write about the lasting effects of liberation with regard to the connection between Canada and the Netherlands.

I was just wondering, have you sent out that power point presentation on Imperialism?

Kevin Gilchrist said...

No not yet.

Kevin Gilchrist said...

I will present it first, then send it out.

for the the social 10 war projects if you're doing one of the battles as your topic are there any specific areas you want us to cover? (such as battle tactics, weaponry, etc)

Kevin Gilchrist said...

You can cover those topics that you listed there, but please make sure that you cover what role Canadians played and their contribution to that particular battle, whatever it may be.

When you say "what influences canadian foregin policy" do you mean what influences policy decisions?

Kevin Gilchrist said...

Yes that's right, and it's straight from the PowerPoint presentation.

10-2

i was just wondering for our wwi/wwii projects
do we need to write our information in point form? or in paragraph form?
thanks.

The posters on the right hand side of the room (from your perspective when you're sitting in the room) are NOT examples from my class, they are from a Social 20 class last semester that the previous teacher in R4 put up. They are not indictive of the level of work that I feel is acceptable. They are generally of poor quality. I want to put up your work!! The posters at the back of the room are better examples.

Kevin Gilchrist said...

It depends on what form your presentation is taking. Point form might be more acceptable if it's a PowerPoint presentation, otherwise I would say that paragraph form is better.

since i'm doing the battle of vimy ridge, would the vimy memorial and the pilgrimage to vimy count as canadian contributions to vimy? (i'm also including canadian divisions and overview of what canadians did in the battle)

Kevin Gilchrist said...

Sure that sounds good.
