April 27

I gave you a booklet today entitled "The Making of Quarrels". Please make sure that you have completed the reading booklets that I have distributed so far. Don't forget that you have your Imperialism Unit Final on Monday. Have a great long weekend!

We watched another video in class today. This one was called "Our National Parliament". While watching this video you were to take notes. If you missed today's class or even yesterday's class you need to get these notes from a classmate. Don't forget that your Political Cartoon assignment is due on Monday. You have two pop quizzes next week that you need to prepare for as well. Have a great long weekend!

Did you find a black, round, 5 - star case containing a TI - 84 SILVER PLUS edition by any chance in your room?

Did you say you put up links to some political cartoon, or did you mean only the one on the main page?

Sorry I didn't see your calculator Brent.

I put up some links on the Monday, April 24th post, so please check there.

for the politcal cartoon responce how long do you like it to be?

Kevin Gilchrist said...

Everyone's analysis will vary in length. Just make sure that you write in paragraph form, and in your analysis you deal with the questions on the back of the assignment sheet. Remember, don't include those questions in your analysis. Think of them as topics that need to be addressed in your analysis.

For the cartoon, is it alright if it's printed in black and white even though the original is in colour?

Kevin Gilchrist said...

That's fine.

for the comparisons, does it have to be in paragraph form or does it have to be in a table. Also, when are they due

If you're talking about the comparison between the Meech Lake Accord and Charlottetown Accord, then a point form chart is the way to go. If you're talking about something else, please post again.

Mr Gilchrist,
Does the media coverage on Canadian soldiers coming back from afganistan directly relate to the politics and government or citizenship units?

Kevin Gilchrist said...

Social 20: Don't worry abut your maps, you'll see what I mean when you see your unit final.

Kevin Gilchrist said...

The death of the soldiers ties in best with our Sovereignty and Politics and Government units, from many different angles. There is the issue of media coverage as well, which is part of our government unit.

Do you guys think we have to put refrences for our cartoons?
please reply asap

Kevin Gilchrist said...

You don't have to include a reference for your cartoon. I'll be able to figure out the artist pretty easily.
