After the current events presentation I finished off the presentation/lecture that I started on Friday. I also did a presentation on "Canada's Role in WWII". I will be sending these presentations to you today. I also gave you the list of key terms that you will responsible for from Chapters 12-14. This list is far too long to publish on the blog. Please check with classmates for the complete list. I also collected your position paper outlines. There were a couple of students that didn't hand it in during class time.

Yes, I've heard of the movie. I think it was released this past weekend, but I was too busy marking essays and doing university work to get to the theatre. I'm not sure of the reviews.
how were the test and essay results?
Can u post up the Social 10-1 Chapter 8 and 9 key terms please? I might have missed some in class since there were so many of them.

It's not a matter of not being able to do it, it's just that it's such a long list that it would make people have to scroll down too much. Please get them off a classmate tomorrow. You have most of tomorrow's class to work on these key terms.

oh and by the way is thier an electronic version of the calgary herlad that we can use ??

Your news item can relate to sovereignty, regionalism, identity or politics and government. You can access the Calgary Herald online, however a lot of stories are by subscription. If you subscribe to the paper, you can access the online version. I think they also have a short term trial of the electronic version that you can try.

Hmmm. That's weird. I know that the new season has started. It's on CBC Newsworld by the way. It depends on the news story, if it's some on-going news item, like say Canadians in Afghanistan then maybe. Otherwise, it might be better to pick something more current.

Nope, they were just after that. The trench warfare notes were in Chapter 7. I posted the key terms for Chapter 8-9 on the blog, you'll just have to look backwards through the postings.

I didn't send them out. I actually forgot to send them, and then I was off to play soccer, so it slipped my mind. I probably won't get around to it tonight. I'll try to do it in my prep tomorrow morning.

No, I just found it. I'm a fan of the Simpsons so I've been planning on using this picture for awhile now.
